Protection boundary
The lock applies to an eligible note—not its parent folder. Apple says the note title remains visible in the notes list, and some note types or account configurations cannot be locked.
Visible, protected, or unsupported?

Use neutral names
A title such as “Bank recovery codes” can disclose sensitive context even if the body is locked. Prefer a neutral label and keep the sensitive meaning inside the protected note.
